Diary
Hi!
Right now I'm in the plane on my way back home to Moscow, nothing else to do and I think it's a good idea to write a few words about what was going on during the last month... Winter in Europe is very cold this year, so after my vacation and 2 weeks of fitness training we went to Miami to do the tennis preparation. I have many friends there and actually a lot of tennis players spend their off season there, because the weather is a lot nicer and you can really have a great time there. Well, it was a bit colder this time, but we still managed to do our work and also to have some nice time out with our frineds. One of the most exciting days for me was when we went to Everglades Holiday Park and we went on the boat trip to see the alligators in the wild. After all I even got to hold one smaller one in my arms ! It was great, I loved it!
When we came to Brisbane it was raining, we had just a few days without rain there, so most of the matches were played under the roof. I didn't play well my singles, but there was absolutely no drama about it, because I didn't expect my first tournament to be great, I needed some more time to get used to the courts, weather. But doubles with Nastia went really well, we had a lot of fun and played very good all our matches, so at the end I started a year with the title :)
Even doubles matches really worked for me. When I came to Sydney I felt good. I wasnt expecting anything, I always think positive, that if I work hard the results will come. So I had a nice run of wins and that week made me really happy about myself! I didn't get in in doubles there, so I think whatever is happening is happening for good.
When I came to Melbourne I felt a bit tired the first day, because over all for the past 2 weeks I had matches almost every day and I didnt't have any day off. But when you play well and feel good, tiredness goes away quckly. So I just took my first day off and then started to train. Everything was going well until my second round match that I lost. I didn't play good and I was sad after the match. Doubles and mixed doubles didn't go well either, but I played good, so there was not much to do about it. Everybody wants to win and tries as hard as he can. On the last day I went for some shopping, the prices are crazy!!! And then I spent some time in the beauty salon, got some good emotions and really looking forward to go home for a few days and relax a bit from everything :)
My next tournament will be in Dubai, so I have a few weeks to get ready. First of all, I will take a few days off at home and then planning to go to Italy and start my trainings.
Thanks for all your support guys, take care!
